DVI - DIRECT VIDEO INPUT

VGA - VIDEO GRAPHICS ARRAY

Designed in 1987, this is the 15-pin connector                  used on many computer systems and                                projectors. As per the name implies, VGA                          carries only video, or the image.

HDMI - HIGH DEFINITION MUTI-MEDIA INTERFACE

Capable of sending video in 720p resolution                    and higher, this is the current primary video                       connector, replacing the VGA on most                               computer systems. Unlike VGA, HDMI can                       send AUDIO in the SAME CABLE.

RCA - RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA

         Analogue connector patented by RCA.

Red/White carry Left/Right audio while Yellow                  carries Composite Video. Colors are for matching            inputs and outputs only (the cables are the                     same), so you can use a yellow as audio and red                as video. The important thing is that your VIDEO            OUTPUT (on DVD player, etc) is connected to                   VIDEO INPUT on display (tv, projector, etc)
